Residential conferences are extended multi-day events where all necessary facilities—conference halls, accommodation, F&B, training areas, and breakout rooms—are located at a single venue. These events typically cater to outstation or international participants.
Ion Group organized a residential conference and Global Induction Program, with end-to-end planning, management, and on-site execution handled by Showmakerz.
This 12-day long residential conference cum induction event was successfully hosted at The Leela Ambience Convention Hotel, Delhi. Around 100 rooms were booked for 200 guests, including new hires and key stakeholders from around the world.
Showmakerz also curated Ion’s first-ever Global Induction in India back in 2018. When the group planned a similar initiative in 2019, we were once again entrusted with the responsibility.

Residential Conference Experience
From day one, guests were welcomed with warm hospitality and a stunningly branded event setup. The venue featured a striking string logo, 3D laser-cut signage, photo ops, pillar wraps, and beautifully crafted stationery, centerpieces, and giveaways.
The arrival day included engaging team-building icebreakers followed by a welcome dinner. The main program kicked off the next morning with a spectacular 3D mapping of the event logo and an address by the country head.
The following five days were packed with intensive presentations, breakout sessions, and group discussions. Participants also visited Ion’s Noida office for live training sessions and cultural integration.
Cultural Night Gala Dinner
Day 4 featured a high-energy DJ night, where international participants danced enthusiastically to Bollywood and Punjabi beats. Laser lights and Delhi-style food stalls added a unique touch.
Day 5 was dedicated to a grand cultural night. Attendees wore traditional Indian attire—skirts and tops for women, khadi kurtas for men. The highlight was a dandiya session with a live dhol and instructor, bringing everyone together in dance.
Carnival-style stalls—mehndi, handicrafts, tattoo art, turban tying, and fun games like ring toss and shooting—added laughter and engagement. Winners were rewarded with handmade Indian handicrafts and jewelry.
Day Trip to Agra
Over the weekend, the group took a fun-filled road trip to Agra. The Taj Mahal left everyone mesmerized. Other attractions included Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri. Shopping and local cuisine completed the experience.
A short local sightseeing tour in Delhi followed—Humayun’s Tomb, India Gate, local markets, and food joints were major highlights.
Final Presentations Day
The final week ramped up with more intense discussions, breakout sessions, and rehearsals for the team presentations. A poolside dinner with a laser show served as a welcome breather before the final day.
On the final day, each team presented their learnings and project ideas. Winners were recognized with trophies, and the formal session concluded on a high note.
Karaoke Night & CSR Activity
But it wasn't over yet—participants were surprised with a karaoke night at the venue’s club. Songs in multiple languages, food, drinks, and fun created a truly memorable wrap-up.
The final day was dedicated to a CSR initiative where participants spent time with underprivileged children, engaging in games and distributing gifts and essentials.
The event was widely appreciated for its seamless execution and attention to detail. Showmakerz once again demonstrated its excellence as a top corporate event management company in India.
